Privacy
How this site handles your data.
This is a personal blog. I’m not collecting your data to sell you anything.
What gets collected
Analytics. I use Google Analytics to see which posts get read and where traffic comes from. This collects standard stuff like your IP address, browser type, and which pages you visit. Google’s privacy policy covers how they handle that data: google.com/policies/privacy. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
Comments. If you leave a comment via Disqus, that’s governed by Disqus’s privacy policy. I don’t control what they collect.
Cookies. Google Analytics and Disqus set cookies. I don’t set any myself.
What I don’t do
- I don’t run ads or do behavioral targeting
- I don’t sell or share your information
- I don’t send emails or newsletters (yet, anyway)
- I don’t track you across other sites
Your rights
If you’re in the EU or another jurisdiction with data rights, you can ask me to delete any data I have on you. Honestly, the only data I’d have is whatever Google Analytics and Disqus collected, which you can manage through their respective tools.
